The Secret Garden

Ground. Grow. Create. is the line The Secret Garden puts at the front of its pages. It describes itself as a quiet oasis in the middle of everyday haste: a hideaway and yoga studio in Icking, in the Isartal, at Ichoring 2. The address note on the site places it in the old Kreissparkasse. Christina runs it and speaks in the first person throughout, promising a room in which to listen to your inner self and find the courage to leave your comfort zone.

In the studio there are yoga classes every day, along with sport sessions, massage and sound healing. The timetable runs from Vinyasa flows and Yin Yoga to functional training, yoga for pregnancy and postnatal courses. The site is firm that yoga is for everyone and that you come as you are. The treatment menu includes a 60-minute whole-body relaxation massage, a 45-minute back massage, a 60-minute Recharge sound massage and a 75-minute Selfcare Treatment that pairs massage with sound. Christina also teaches private sessions at home for up to four people.

The studio hosts day retreats too. The Cozy Winter Yoga Day Retreat on 28 February 2026 ran from 10:15 to 17:15 with a power yoga class, grounding Hatha and Yin Yoga, sound healing, and a cacao ceremony with journaling. Happy June, on 20 June 2026, added forest bathing in the nearby woods. If the weather kept the group indoors, the cacao ceremony would be held in the studio instead.

Longer retreats happen elsewhere. The Matador Lodge in Grabenstätt is taken over by a group of ten for the Deep Dive weekends of yoga and conscious connected breathwork. The Vierfalt Hof in Geisenhausen sits in the Vilstal with a pool and sauna. The coolnest boutique hotel in the Zillertal has hosted a January retreat. In Sri Lanka, the Lanka Yoga villa on Koggala Lake, in the village of Duwa, has a 110 sqm open shala. Its New Year retreat, Release & Rise, runs 27 December 2026 to 2 January 2027, with time for silence, connection and integration.
